And PS I did find the light brown ruffle dress on 80s Purple and several other sites. This is one of the few items I liked from their 09 spring collection and found on external retailers' sites. It still doesn't alleviate my rant below. ;)

The only place I really love shopping is online. Here are some of my great online finds (and just some of my very favorite sites, too).

I have been in the mindset to figure out what I want to wear on a soon-to-be trip to Sin City. I have been looking online to see what in my wardrobe can be repurposed as a fresh new outfit. Vegas has something about it that makes you want to wear more outgoing and, for a lack of a better word, daring attire. I have been searching online for things like: bathing suits, dresses, skirts, and jewelry. One of the more edgy-ier sites I like to peruse occasionally is 80spurple.com. They are very of-the-moment and perfect for a trip like this. I always try to keep in mind that I want to find things that I will wear again. I absolutely hate buying throw-away clothing. So, on my latest trek to find something I would either replicate or buy, I found this skirt. Punchy. Sassy. Short. And so easy to accessorize to make it Viva Fabulous. I would pair it with a white tank and some long necklaces. The shoes would have to make this outfit....and I am pretty sure I have just the right ones in mind.

My second favorite thing to do is decorate my home. I love to be inventive and create interesting designs with new, unexpected things. For example, this is a picture of 3 frames I made from the following: wrapping paper, a magazine page, and an illustration from the internet. The first frame is actually really funky wrapping paper I bought. I loved it so much, I thought it deserved to be in a frame. The second is actually a high quality paper ad in one of my design books. I liked the colors, and I like feathers- so, it was a perfect fit. The last frame kind of plays off of the middle frame's concept. Peacocks are pretty fun and great for an impactful design element. I found this illustration online and just changed the color and hit print. I may end up changing the top one to be peacock-related, but right now I am enjoying my make-shift artwork.
